DESCRIPTION:With the last “classic” Mini being produced on the 4th October 2000\, we commemorate the loss of this iconic car from showrooms around the country\, by inviting many of those that have been saved by their dedicated owners to Brooklands for the day.\nAll types of Mini (including the modern BMW models) are invited to this annual event\, so expect displays in all areas of the Museum site. From the oldest to the newest\, this year’s event will see some of the earliest examples nestling among hundreds of Minis and their variations including vans and pickups. As always Test Hill will be in action in the morning and afternoon.  \nThere will be a variety of trade stands offering Mini parts\, spares and memorabilia.

There will be live music from vintage singing trios ‘My Favourite Things’ on Saturday and ‘The Barn-Ettes’ on Sunday. Head to the Junction 12 Café for hot meals\, sweet treats and refreshments or enjoy ice creams and burgers outside. \nDon’t take our word for it\, recent visitors said: \n– “First class day\, highly recommend”\n– “Quite amazed at the variety of Land Rovers! SUMMARY:National Metro and Mini Show
DESCRIPTION:This is the main event of the year for owners of Metros\, classic Minis and modern MINIs to come together. We welcome hundreds of these popular cars every year to make a fantastic display outside the Museum. We even have a chance for you to get competitive with competitions and awards such as a concours and Show’n’Shine to enter.\nOur show is well-received by families too! If you\, your parents or grandparents owned a Mini or Metro\, the displays are sure to bring back a sense of nostalgia. Head to the Junction 12 Café for hot meals\, sweet treats and refreshments or enjoy ice creams and burgers outside. \nTickets for the show include entry to the Museum and Collections Centre\, giving you the chance to see over 350 more cars from our fabulous collection. Inside\, you will find some of the historically important milestone vehicles such as the last Rover 100 produced\, signed by almost 1200 people involved in Metro production. Also there will be the very first Mini ‘621 AOK’\, the very last classic Mini produced at Longbridge ‘X411 JOP’ and the Monte Carlo Rally winning Minis of 1964\, 1965 and 1967 for you to see. \nDon’t take our word for it\, recent visitors said: \n– “Great show overall in difficult circumstances. SUMMARY:Classic and Vintage Commercial Show
DESCRIPTION:This is a rare opportunity to reminisce and remember the heavy vehicles that used to roll along our roads. The display ranges from vans such as Ford Transits\, Morris Minors and J Types\, to lighter lorries from Austin\, Bedford\, Dodge and Ford Thames to heavier lorries such as AECs\, Atkinsons\, ERFs\, Fodens and Leylands.\nDon’t miss the large commercial vehicle related autojumble where a bargain or vital spare can be found as well as photos\, brochures or models of your favourite commercials. \nTickets for the show include entry to the Museum and Collections Centre\, giving you the chance to see over 350 more cars from our fabulous collection. Inside will be two large Indoor Model Shows\, organised by Ashley Coghill and the National Association of Road Transport Modellers. Over 160 tables will showcase kit and scratch-built models of commercial vehicles and landscapes. \nEvery year\, we are joined by clubs such as the Foden Society\, Morris Commercial Club\, Morris J Type Register\, Post Office Vehicle Club\, REVS and the Transit Van Club. Thank you all very much.” \nShow supporters Kelsey Media will be here with a number of their titles including Classic & Vintage Commercials\, Heritage Commercials and Vintage Roadscene. \n*Please note Sunday 12 June is the busiest day of the show and one of just 5 exempt show days a year. Premium Members and Members can visit for free but these days are exempt from Annual Passes and promotional vouchers.
