DESCRIPTION:The Bremen Classic Motorshow team was forced to cancel the in-person event for the second time in a row. But\, after the initial shock\, the team headed by Frank Ruge is already planning an exciting two-hour online event. “To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Bremen Classic Motorshow\, we want to thank our exhibitors and visitors for their years of loyalty with an entertaining anniversary programme”\, says Frank Ruge. After their successful debut last time\, the project manager will once again co-host the event with the classic car expert Johannes Hübner. \nViewers can look forward to versions of the topics originally planned for the live show. The automotive historian Wolfgang Blaube will present the special show “The Mild and the Wild” originally planned for 2022. In his inimitable eloquent\, irreverent and expert style\, he will use three high-powered “wild” models to illustrate his points. \n“A tricky dilemma: two-stroke or four?” – Andy Schweitzer will comment on pairs that divide opinion on loan from the motorcycle collection of the PS.SPEICHER museum in Einbeck. Naturally\, half a dozen selected Young Classics will also be presented which are up for sale. For the hopelessly nostalgic\, journalist and expert Christian Steiger will cast an eye over a few familiar but now extremely rare models. His “Red List of Endangered Automobile Species” will present once popular\, mass-produced cars which are today rarely seen on the road. \nThe Mercedes-Benz plant in Bremen will also contribute to the online event: To mark the 40th birthday of the Bremen-built 190-type Baby-Benz (W201)\, a film about the successful model will be shown. There will also be a discussion round with experts from TÜV-Süd who will attempt a look into the future: “Is there an alternative to e-mobility that will allow us to still drive our classic vehicles in the future?” \nClassic car fans will be able to take part in the online event on 5 February 2022 from 4 to 6 p.m. free of charge and without having to log in by going to www.classicmotorshow.de. After that\, all the contributions in the online event will still be available on this website up to 1 May.

DESCRIPTION:Our Classic Car Show has been an annual event since 1998. The show takes place from 10.30am to 4.30pm in the walled Elizabethan pleasure gardens.\nA highlight of the Hall season\, it has long been one of the north west’s most popular rallies\, attracting an eclectic mix of classic cars and motorcycles from the turn of the last century to the present day. \nWith the first recorded rally taking place in 1902\, and held by the Manchester automobile club\, Gawsworth has long been linked with the motor vehicle. \nIn the 1940s and 1950s the Hall was also home to Denis Ferranti’s wonderful collection\, including a T59 Bugatti that now takes pride of place in Ralph Lauren’s garage. \nIn recent years\, highlights include wonderful eight-litre vintage Bentleys\, huge posses of American muscle cars\, TT racing bikes and dozens of period scooters. All are welcome to come and go as they wish\, ensuring a relaxing day for both owners and visitors\, with an informal concours and autojumble also taking place. \nWe hope you can come and join us for what’s always a fantastic event\, with a garden party atmosphere.

As a special treat on Saturday\, Emrys Kirby\, well-known Land Rover journalist will host workshop talks about the Land Rover Stage Two Register vehicles. Also at the show is a selection of trade stands where you will find clothing\, models\, tools and accessories. Inside the Museum\, you will see plenty of famous Land Rovers on display including our showpiece ‘HUE 166’ AKA Huey – the first Land Rover ever produced. You won’t find that photo opportunity anywhere else in the world! \nFamilies will enjoy the ‘Mini Me’ kids trial with mini vintage and modern Land Rovers touring around the show arena. There will be live music from ‘The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra Symphonic Six’ on Saturday and vintage trio ‘My Favourite Things’ on Sunday. Head to the Museum’s Junction 12 Café for hot meals\, treats and refreshments or enjoy ice creams and burgers outside.
