Beaulieu is buzzing with excitement as Simply Electric returns to the grounds of the National Motor Museum on Sunday 29th May. Returning for its second year, following its successful introduction to the packed Beaulieu events calendar in 2021, this year’s rally is set to bring together a fascinating selection of EVs.
Electric car drivers have already been busy booking their places for the show, with examples of the Renault Zoe, Hyundai IONIQ, Jaguar I-PACE, Honda e Advance and Skoda Enyaq joining a selection of Teslas, Kia e-Niros, BMW i3s and more. Look out for an example of the pioneering but diminutive G-Wiz expected to attend too – with all EVs invited to join the display, there are sure to be all shapes and sizes of vehicle represented.
Simply Electric will be the perfect opportunity for electric vehicle owners to connect with other enthusiasts, compare cars and enjoy all of the features of the Beaulieu attraction, as part of a busy motoring-themed day out.
A big hit at last year’s rally, Hub Cycle Works will also be at the show, demonstrating their impressive e-bikes on a special course, showing how plug-in and pedal power can work hand-in-hand for exciting two-wheeled travel.
Make sure to check out the collection of electric vehicles on show in the National Motor Museum, with a whole century of EV technology represented. From the 120 year-old Columbia, through the 1939 Harrods delivery van, 1985 Sinclair C5 and 1993 Solar Flair, to the museum’s cut-away 2016 Tesla Model S, you’ll be amazed by how long electric vehicles have been a part of road transport here in the UK.

Event-goers can vote for their favourite car of the show in the People’s Choice Award, with the winner receiving a Beaulieu trophy and an Autoglym prize. Voting is open to all visitors until 1pm that day, with the presentation taking place at 2pm.
Participants are encouraged to buy their tickets in advance at www.beaulieu.co.uk/events/simply-electric. Participant tickets, for those driving into the show in an electric vehicle to join the display, include entrance to the rest of the Beaulieu attraction.
All other visitors should purchase normal visitor admission tickets, which are available to book at www.beaulieu.co.uk.
Simply Electric is just one of the exciting Simply rallies planned for 2022. Simply Porsche will be returning on 5th June, while Simply VW on 18th June and Simply Jaguar on 26th June are always a big hit with marque enthusiasts.
